June 5th meeting – Software Integrity

How can we be sure that software will behave as expected—before we even install or run it? At the June meeting, Ben Acord will walk through practical ways to verify software integrity, all within the context of a personal threat model. In many cases, developers unintentionally leave users exposed by skipping important checks. We’ll explore real-world examples of verifying software components, highlight common attack patterns, and discuss productive ways to promote stronger development practices.
